"Methadone withdrawal"

About: Guernsey House / Primary care addiction service Sheffield (PCASS)

(as the patient),

I missed app by 24 hours for the 1st time, genuine mistake. My methadone script ran out and I attended the clinic the following day. I was told when I attended that I would not be seen and could not have a script unit the day after which meant I went over 48 hours without methadone causing me to withdraw and at the same time try to care for a 6 month old child.

This, I believe is in anybodies view a dangerous cause of withdrawals and it may force me to use opiates to get through the time, so I can cope.
