I was referred to Stoke Mandeville hospital having broken my wrist. As I am 65, surgery is not always offered, however it was offered in my case so that I can continue an active, full life. From the administrative staff, to outpatients through to the theatre team and after surgery physiotherapy, the team have provided excellent care. The only improvement could be the waiting time to see the consultant. I was kept fully informed about my operation and what to expect. My appointments were made by telephone followed by confirmatory letter.
