Developed atrial fibrillation, which wasnt responding well enough to drug treatment
Was referred to see Dr David Fox at wythenshawe
Original appt was to discuss suitability and options, drugs needed to start to undertake the procedure
He is a very personable man who is frienldy and easy to talk to, whilst remaining v professional
I was placed on the wating list in nov 2015
BegN the blood thinners and felt. Cold
Had the procedure in aug 2016"
From start to finish the staff were fantastic, friendly v busy but always happy to help
Went to theatre and stayed overnight, food good facilities were equally good, wi fi tv. etc.
The first couple of weeks my heart rhythm was erratic and high, they had warned me this may happen, things just got better with each week, no AF And my heart beat and rhythm is now normal. ECG. Normal and am now off the blood thinners and s reducing the sotalol by half with a view to stopping
I had serious reservations about undergoing the procedure, but if I had known 2 yrs ago what I know now I would have agreed to it at the outset
"Atrial fibrillation / ablation"
