"Processes in A&E"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My husband had a car accident and when he called 111 he's been told there is not ambulance available for him so I had to drive him to the hospital. My husband was left in agony with a pain in his back and neck for over 3 hours! After that he's seen a doctor who wasn't even keen to do X-ray to check his spine as he could hardly move his neck. He said it will not help him! which of course I am completely aware of! Isn't that standard process to do X-rays to be sure that there is no damage to his spine as he felt cracking while moving? : / Instead of this he's got handful of painkillers which of course wasn't explained what they are... My experience was absolutely appalling!
