I went in for a full knee replacement operation - all was calm, orderly and carefully explained prior to the operation. Waking up in St Joseph Ward I was surrounded by efficient and friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. Later I came to realise that this happy team provided a degree of service and understanding sadly missing in other larger local hospitals. The NHS in general should take note of the standards set at St Joseph Ward.
