"Appointment procedure, prescriptions, reception"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a parent/guardian),

At this surgery the new appointment procedure is you phone reception then get the doctor to phone you then they decide if you need an appointment.  miracle workers they can now diagnose over the phone then if you do need an appointment you have to get back to the reception who tell you to call before 8 in the morning.

The next thing a close relative of mine is on constant medication she cannot drive because of her illness but trying to get the correct medication for her even although her consultant from the southern general has contacted the doctors they still decided do you really need them. This surgery is a joke though not funny. She has also tried for the past three weeks to get her notes

Dear Ebar

Thanks for getting in touch - however I was sorry to read about your recent experience with your GP. I can completely understand why you feel frustrated and upset.

If you would like me to pass on your concerns to the local practice manager I'd be more than happy to assist, if you can contact me directly on 01698 858 292 or via email kathryn.ferguson@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk

Kind regards

Kathryn
