"Lack of communication"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Respiratory medicine

My mother was admitted to ward 4 over a week ago. We found out that she was going for a scan at the RVI hospital only because it was written in the board next to her bed. Every time we have visited it us like a ghost town. When we do fund a nurse we were told that nothing nuch changed. When ask questions they say there is nothing to say. Asked for a dr to speak to and we are still waiting after a week.

We're sorry to hear about your experience and that you were unhappy with your mother’s care at the hospital. We'd like to understand a little more about what happened so we can look into this for you. If you'd be interested in doing this, you can speak with the Matron on Ward 4 or contact our PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) team on 0800 953 0667 or pals@ghnt.nhs.uk
