What I liked
Huge pity that the hospital no longer provides treatment for minor injuries - you now have to travel to Swindon or Chippenham. The Day Hospital for elderly people is also missed. I would like to know why only some of the services provided at Savernake are on this website - it seems very strange to list some provided by GWH and not many others. The website www.friendsofsavernake.org have a more comprehensive list than NHS Choices!!
What could be improved
The provision of a Minor Injury Unit or at the very least some sort of facility or system where patients requiring Urgent Care for injuries could be treated. Almost anything would be better than the huge step back in time to pre1866 we've taken.
Anything else?
The provision of a Day Hospital for the many elderly people requiring multi discliplinary care over the period of a day but not requiring to stay overnight.
