"Superb experience"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I went for a colonoscopy performed by Dr Sengupta ably assisted by S/N Craig and S/N Julie. I was admitted by a very charming and efficient nurse who went through all my pre-test admin and inserted a canula in my right arm in case I would need anaesthetic. The actual examination was performed without anaesthetic or painkillers and I watched the whole thing on two screens of high definition TV. The recovery nurse debriefed me in the fine style and offered me a cup of tea and toast before sending me on my way with a smile. The whole experience was superb and very interacting and I would like to thank all involved.

Dear Listener217

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback about your recent endoscopy experience. It was lovely to read that our staff got it just right for you throughout your whole admission.

The procedure is fascinating to watch and as you had no sedation or pain killers, it sounds like you were able to be quite involved.

I will be sure to share your post with Dr Sengupta, Julie, Craig and our other staff. They will be delighted with your kind words.

I hope that you have recovered well

Kind regards

Gill Ogden
