"Dad was taken to the hospital with no footwear."

About: Scottish Ambulance Service

(as a relative),

Service outstanding. Just to say my Dad went to hospital with no footwear. My sister took him home with nothing but thin slippers given by the hospital. It was inadequate and he was not steady on his feet. Just to point this out not to complain at all. Thanks for the good and kind service he received.

Dear thankful4864

I was glad to hear about the care that your father received but very sorry that he was taken to hospital with no shoes on. Without knowing more about the case, I would not be able to comment on the reason for this. Depending on how well or unwell the patient is, we do try to ensure that our patients are appropriately dressed, or at least have clothes with them for when they leave hospital.

I do hope that your father is recovering well and thank you so much for the feedback.

Take care

Martin.
