"Excellent Care on Ward 15"

My toddler was recently admitted to Ward 15 at the DGRI with bronchiolitis. The care we received during our time on the ward was excellent. Each and every person that supported us showed a level of kindness that went well above and beyond simply doing their job. The nursing staff often popped their heads round the door just to make sure we were ok. Nothing was too much trouble for them and despite being exceptionally busy, they still provided first class care and treatment.

The doctors were also extremely thoughtful and very reassuring. Dr Gashout deserves a special mention as he is exceptionally good at what he does. We have met Dr Gashout on a few occasions now and we are always impressed by his approach. He takes the time to get to know his patients and to explain what is happening in a considerate and gentle manner. He is clearly incredibly dedicated which was demonstrated by the amount of time he spent on the ward, often making extra visits through the night when his 'shift' was already over. He always has a smile and a kind word no matter how busy he is. He puts us at ease and we had complete trust in his assessment and advice. Thank you to everyone on Ward 15 for their help, support and kindness. It was very much appreciated.
