I gave birth to my little girl in May 2016 at St Mary's Labour ward. I chose to give birth at the labour ward as I felt more confident there. Overall the experience was quiet good. The staff was excellent!
All the midwives and the doctors were really polite, re-assuring and made me feel confident and relaxed the whole way. Unfortunately, I had a forceps delivery but I am convinced that was the only option as I was pushing for 3 hours and the baby wasn't coming out (overall my labour lasted 18 hours). The post natal experience was good as well, the midwives are brilliant and very supportive. Only negative things I could list are the bathrooms and showers which could have been cleaner and also the wards which are too noisy and crowded sometimes (usually there are 4 beds in the wards). I would recommend St Mary's for birth.
"Overall a good experience"
