I arrived ENT B level at 11.15am for an 11. 40 appointment. There was a sign saying that they had no receptionist and to take a seat and names will be called. I spoke to the ENT nurse who asked me my name and said that my name will be called shortly. At 11.35ish a lady was called in to the ENT room, who left 20mins later. I sat and waited patiently and the same nurse came out and asked again who I was waiting for, I replied ENT. At 13.10pm I knocked on the door of Ent, no patient had gone into the room since the 11.35pm, i asked if they had forgotten me and I was told by the same nurse that they had no more ENT appointments. Why on earth did the nurse not say anything earlier when they knew I had been sat waiting for well over an hour and a half for ENT. The gentleman who was in the room sent me to C level, I rushed to C level to be told I had been sent to the wrong place. I finally got to A level to be told that the doctor had gone home. As I explained to the receptionists what had happen I became overwhelmed with emotion and started crying. They were lovely and so was the nurse who came out to see me. My review is about the shocking organisation of level B ENT. Not A level ENT. They were understanding and caring. I missed my appointment and I am in a world of physical pain and anxiety. It all could have been avoided if they did their job efficiently and correctly.
