"I learnt so much, my mentors and the other team members were always friendly and helpful"

About: Derriford Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a student nurse),

I had the pleasure of undertaking my first placement as a student child health nurse on Wildgoose ward during the summer of this year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff working on the ward during my placement. I learnt so much, my mentors and the other team members were always friendly and helpful. They all supported me with my learning objectives, ensuring that I learnt everything that I needed to. I look forward to seeing you all again during my elective placement at the end of my degree course.

The nurses, and HCA's showed so much care and compassion towards the children and the famillies that they were caring for, it was a pleasure to learn from them. They all worked so hard.

Dear Chamb58

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent placement experience with us. It is really good news that you enjoyed your first placement on Wildgoose ward

I am delighted to hear that you felt supported with your learning objectives. It is lovely to read your positive comments of praise about the staff and they was they conveyed care and compassion to the children and their families.

I will ensure a copy of your post is shared with all the ward. Comments of support and thanks are so important to staff and I know they will be very grateful to read your positive comments.

Good luck with your studies
