"It was the most pleasant time in hospital"

About: Victoria Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I went into ward 33 last week to get antibiotics put in through a drip. The care I received was far far more than I ever expected. There was nothing too much that the nurses and health workers would not do. The atmosphere on the ward was lovely and it was so nice to waken up to a lovely smile and a wee chatter. It was the most pleasant time in hospital and even though I hope not to be back in for a while, if they are all as good as this ward there is nothing to worry about. Thank you all and hope you all have a merry Xmas.

Dear Lindylou 56

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience in ward 33. It was good to hear you describe it as a pleasant experience, and to hear you describe the way in which staff communicated with you and the effect of this on the ward atmosphere. These small things go a long way to making people feel more at ease and clearly the staff got it just right for you, which is great to hear. Sharing your feedback with us means that we in turn can share it with the staff, who will very much appreciate it. I will gladly share your post with staff this afternoon.

Regards

Louise Ewing
