"Car parking left me feeling slightly aggrieved"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

(as the patient),

Went for my appointment in the maternity wing/part of Lincoln hospital, the car park in this area is pay and display. The main car park of the hospital is pay on leaving, there was no warning on the letter confirming my appointment. I had to run into the hospital to try and find somewhere to get change; a friendly member of staff obliged. On putting the money in the machine I realised it didn't give change and any time required is an odd amount, coupled with not knowing how long the appointment would last left me feeling slightly aggrieved.

Dear Sb7

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback about the car parking outside the maternity wing at Lincoln and I sorry that you had so many issues before your appointment.

I wondered if you could contact me directly as I am unsure exactly where you visited last week. This will enable me to have a look at the letters which are sent out by that area and we can make alterations to the car parking information around the maternity wing to ensure letters clearly state that it is pay and display only and the machines do not accept cards or give change.

My direct contact details are 01476 464560 or Sharon.kidd@ulh.nhs.uk

Regards

Sharon

Hi Sb7

Just wanted to say thank you so much for calling me today. As I mentioned, I will be contacting the department concerned and will ensure that all of their appointment letters are amended to include better information about car parking near the maternity block and also the limited parking that is available and to factor in time if patients need to park in our main car park.

Thanks again for highlighting this to us and I will let you know when everything has been amended.

Best wishes

Sharon
