I have been so impressed with the professionalism of all of the staff at SPH. Firstly I saw a surgeon who explained the op that I was going to have in a gentle but informative way. I was then given a variety of dates by the booking team who were very understanding of my needs. Unfortunately when I went in for my op on the 29th Sept it was cancelled as there were no beds. The booking team were very efficient and got me in quickly after that although with a different surgeon. On the day of my op the surgeon was also very caring with me and explained the op extremely well. So I went for my op on that day and I must say that I received excellent and kind care from the nurses and HCAs in the preassessment unit, anaesthetic room and recovery suite. When back on the ward the nurses and HCAs were so caring and coped really well with a patient next to me who was being really difficult. I was the discharged home but unfortunately devolped an infection so ended up in A and E. I was then seen by the on call gynae team who prescibed me two antibiotics. This team then followed me up 10 days later to see how i was as one of the bugs was resistant to one of the antiobiotics and advised on the correct antibiotic to get fron my GP if i was still having symptoms ( I was fine by then )What a great service !!!
"What a great service with caring and..."
