"The best and finest people"

About: Kettering General Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

My wife started bleeding severely during her motion and while passing wind, this happen all of sudden. We did not know the cause of this.

My GP at QMC refereed the case to Kettering General Hospital without loosing any time. An urgent appointment was made with Mr Rashed at woodland hospital for further investigation. He found that there was a suspected cancer in the lower part of the colon. A CTS was carried out urgently and we were called in by Mr Rashed to discuss all the option. for the treatment, including an operation. She was put an ease from the explanation he has provided and suggested that best option will be to operate as soon as possible. He was very professional and experienced in his field,

An appointment was made for her operation with out wasting more time.

The day of admission the sister in charge Maline was fantastic for giving all the information including ins and out of such a difficult procedure.

She introduced us to the Dr A Kelkar who was going to carry out the operation.

My son flew in from Bangkok and the other son was also present in conversation with Dr Kelkar. He put us all at ease by answering all the relevant question we all were worried about regarding this procedure. A great person, professional in his field. A great asset to the NHS and at Kettering general hospital. We need person like him to be there to provide a great service in time of great need.

Pre and post operation all the staff involved in taking care of my. wife was commendable.

No matter what people say all the negative things about our great NHS, I found all is not true.

I would truly appreciate that the time taken starting from investigation to the successful operation and she coming home, under three weeks. This was only possible with great people and professional working hard day and night to provide and contribute to our great NHS at Kettering General Hospital.

I and my family are grateful and thank to all the staff including Mr Rashad, Dr A Kekar the best and finest people contributing to the greatness of our NHS at Kettering General Hospital North ants.

Regards
