"inspired and encouraged my recovery."

About: Highbury Hospital

(as the patient),

At the beginning of being admitted to the ward, my mental health and awareness became more poorly throughout the early stages of my admission.

The staff were extremely persistent in my care from day one and throughout my care whilst on the ward. If I had a problem or something had arisen it would be quickly resolved example, If I needed a towel or extra blanket it was provided. The ward itself was exemply clean everyday this included my individual bedroom ensuite. Even going from Highbury hospital to the general QMC for my ECT treatment, transport was provided and the support by staff based there, was again amazing and made you feel at ease throughout my sessions.  I was encouraged to east foods provided (recovery).

What could be improved? Name personal items in property.

Overall, the staff on the Rowan 1 were truely wonderful and as their motive suggests being 'Positive' inspired and encouraged my recovery.

Hi wilcha,

Many thanks for your kind comments re: your experience on the ward- I will be sure to feedback to the staff team as they are always appreciative of positive comments, such as these.

It is particularly encouraging for me, as a Ward Manager, to hear you mention that the team were very positive and as a consequense offered you some inspiration as this is exactly the outcomes we hope to achieve, based on our values as a ward.

I am sorry to hear about issues that you may have experienced with property whilst on the ward and will be maintaining regular contact with yourself when exploring this to ensure a positive outcome.

Kind Regards,

Patrick Crolla
