"Birth Reflections"

About: St Peter's Hospital / Maternity

I was left emotionally scarred from my first birth (at a different hospital) and was very frightened when I became pregnant with my second child. A particular member of staff in birth reflections not only helped me deal with some of my fears but they were invaluable in helping me prepare for the birth. I had never heard of birth reflections before, and for me, by spending time with this staff member, it hugely reduced my stress levels and blood pressure through pregnancy and ultimately stopped me having a c section. I can't begin to thank them enough for their continued support and understanding. Nothing I can say truely reflects the gratitude I have for her and the amazing team of people in maternity services.

Dear Claire, thank you again for your lovely feedback about our maternity services and particularly our birth reflections service. We know that many women find this service invaluable and it is great to hear how useful it was in supporting you throughout your pregnancy and leading up to the birth. We have passed your feedback onto the birth reflections and wider maternity team.
