Colonoscopy is described by the NHS as an 'invasive procedure' and so it is! However my thanks and respect go to all the medical staff, and particularly the nurses, on the endoscopy unit at RHCH for their professionalism, delivered with a supportive, positive and friendly approach - not least in maintaining patient dignity in circumstances where that would be easy to overlook.
