"Homecare have been great"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Paediatrics Rotherham PCT / Nutritional services (feeds and supplements)

(as the patient),

My child receives continual enteral feeds the company Homecare have been great, the delivery guys are excellent always punctual and never fail delivery, very courteous. Would not want to change as they are always there when I have problems or any query. Also would like to say thank you to Trisha at Homecare who works around us and is very understanding.

Overall on the children’s ward I think some of the nurses not very committed. I feel like some of them can’t wait to get rid of you which is not helpful. I think it’s a good job you have a choice to go to other hospitals as I feel like my child was not taken seriously, and so I went else where for treatment and found out her condition was much more serious as I thought. I don't think it should have come to this. In my opinion they should have listened to the parent.

We are sorry that this was your experience of some of the nurses on the Children’s Ward; obviously if you feel able to contact us via our Patient Services department (on 01709 304461) we will do all we can to understand how we let you down and act to improve our care.

Regardless please be assured that we have recently reviewed the care in the Children’s Ward and your feedback will be fed into that and the subsequent improvements required which are being led by our new Matron for Child Health.
