"Nurses are worth their weight in gold"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

(as the patient),

Having been in Treliske twice within the past 3 months and had two operations...I have nothing but high praise for the hospital. I was treated and cared for in a very professional manner and nothing was too much trouble for the nurses who cared for me.

One of my visits was a brief visit on the Surgical Receiving Unit where one night the ward was totally full and new patients had to be transferred to other wards. There was a shortage of nurses but the nurses who were on duty deserved a medal! With regards to cleanliness, cleaning teams were continually coming around cleaning, moving beds and units etc.

The only thing I can say, is that I did notice not everyone i.e. nurses and visitors used the hand gels when entering the main wards.

But my overall experience of my stays in Treliske is of an excellent standard!
