"Maryport - no better place to be closer to home"

About: Victoria Cottage Hospital

(as a relative),

Myself and my family were at our wits end. My mother was becoming increasingly poorly and was refusing to go into the acute hospital.

I contacted matron Carol at the hospital to ask advice. Within 40 mins a fantastic district nurse Angela had been to see my mum and she agreed to be admitted to Maryport.

She was found to have an infection and was for a few days quite poorly, but the care and dedication of all the staff the nurses, cleaners, OTs (i think that's her title her name is liz), physio was second to none. My mum recovered and returned home.

Without the quick actions of matron Carol and her teams I fear my mum would not be with us today.

Thank you all.
