What I liked

Broken Fibia & Tibia bones. I was admitted to hospital A&E. Right from the moment I arrived the staff were exeptional and compassionate. They tended to my every need and speedily exicuted everything possible for me. They informed me & my partner all along of what was happening, and supported us both when we paniced. They gave us utter most respect and dignity, at the same time being relaxed and jovial towards us, even though the break was very serious. A&E nurse & trainee nurse were fantastic, you couldn't have wished to be cared for by anyone else, and money could not buy their compassion and proffessionalism. The x-ray man was again fantastic, and the Doctors and Consultant were the best that any hospital (whether private or state run) could employ. The Emergency Assessment Unit staff were absolutely second to none. I do not remember the names of many of the nurses, but golly, Grantham Hospital should be very proud of them. I can't thank them enough, and the young nurse on that sunday night, made me tea and coffee throughout the night, and not once did she ignore me or complain, all she cared about was, doing anything that would help me through the night. And a personal big thank you one member of staff, who works on the ward, what an asset and under valued member of staff, he brings sunshine and happiness into everyones lives who are on the ward, and hence why everyones room buzzers kept going off, while he was on shift, he just bought happiness and friendship, compassion and proffessionalism to the ward. The physio was fantastic too. The Doctors again were amazing, and I thank every single person so very much.

What could be improved

the two nurses who came on shift in the morning, after the night shift. They were rude, unproffessional, uncompassionate, lazy, I do not have a nice thing to say about them, and god help anyone who first meets them, as they do not deserve to work anywhere, caring for people, as they DO NOT have the skills to do so. Plus they let the whole ward and hospital's reputation down. Dreadfull Dreadfull people. I can only hope that one day they will be a patient, and be treated in the same manner, as they treat people!

Anything else?

We have told everyone about the exeptionally high standards of care at the hospital, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. We just can't thank the team that worked on me enough.
