"Smokey entrance"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I attended today for treatment , all went well no problem . My complaint is the gauntlet of smokers and the ashtray that the front paving is becoming at the front of the hospital. Despite there being at least 50 signs saying no smoking and proclaiming its a smoke free site there were about a dozen smokers within 10 yards of the front door puffing away then chucking the tab ends on the floor .

This makes the front a great looking building just look grotty.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments and we are glad your treatment went well. The number of visitors who continue to smoke on site is a concern to us and we are looking into how we might tackle the problem. As you say, despite the many signs, smokers continue to congregate outside the main entrance of the building. We are currently looking at ways to discourage smoking and enforce our no smoking policy in the most proportionate, cost efficient and effective way.
