"Long wait for electric wheelchair"

This gentleman needs a new electric wheelchair. He has been assessed and had ramps put in his house, but safety is an issue. He has had to wait 12 months to have a door turned around to allow better access.

They have brought an electric wheelchair to his property to see if the chair is suitable to be in the property and to see if it meets his needs/requirements.

He has been waiting for the wheelchair since February 2016. He has been told delivery will be 6 to 12 weeks (from August).

Communication with services have not been good and there has been a breakdown with New Charter over adaptations.

He has received good advice from Loxley House.
