"cardiology, out of hours and diabetic"

Over Easter weekend my father had to use the out of hours service phone service. This was very efficient and when we arrived at the hospital they were expecting daddy. Daddy was seen by a lovely GP and he was admitted into the Acute Assessment Ward. He had an ECG and a chest scan after 10pm. He had excellent care. Daddy has subsequently been to the Cardiology ward for an angiogram and a pace maker and a consultation with the consultant. All the staff were charming. It was first rate. He has also been seen by the Diabetic Specialist nurse - he is a Type 1 diabetic. The referral was very quick and the nurse was excellent.

He has also had eye screening recently and that was a very thorough and impressive service. My father is always praising the recent care that it has received from Bedford Hospital.
