My Wife was diagnosed with dementia about three years ago,and had to go into care last year. She took ill in the care home and an ambulance was called. The first on the scene was a paramedic followed shortly by an ambulance. After attempts to treat her in the home she was rushed to Wigan REAI , A&E dept. Where she was treated and stabilised. She was then transferred to the MAU ward and eventually to Standish ward, where very sadly she passed away. My reason for sending this review is simply to thank all the staff involved for their caring and understanding. It is only when you experience things like this that you truly understand how loving caring and proffessional the staff are. So on behalf of myself and family may I thank you all so much and give you all a big hug. God bless, from Ralph Williams
