"Extremely unhappy"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Accident and emergency

My Dad was brought to the AE last Thursday after a fall to which he cut his head but the most worrying thing was his blood pressure fell through the floor the ambulance driver was here hours trying to get up because they said they dare not move him no problems with ambulance driver at all they were brilliant. The problem we had was when a sister or just not sure what the dark blue uniform stands for until they came my Dad was having CT scan blood tests which is what ambulance driver took to the hospital for the staff up to the point before this person was great they were rude did not even say hello and whip Dad's note out if his hand took out to front desk where people walk in from next thing ordered nurse to take out to the front. When we got to see doctor they knew nothing of CT scan or blood text. My husband rung yesterday to find why these was not done was told there is nothing in his notes we know they was there so got rid of them was promised it would be looked into and would ring my husband back which did happan. I am now to wait until 9.30 Wednesday 12th October then if we get no answers then a formal complaint will go in has well has a letter to Mr Hunt. I really hope this matter is not going that far but if I have then we will

I am so sorry that this has been your family’s experience and apologies for not responding earlier - I am in touch with key staff to look into it. It would be really helpful to know more information and would urge you to contact me, Steve Bruce from the Patient Experience Team, on 01473 702 101.
