"Poor service"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Maternity

I am due to have my 3rd child end of October and my care has been appalling from consultants not making appointments to the scan department telling me I will not have a scan past 36 weeks athough this was what my consultant asked for as my baby is small I was told it was my folt I don't have a 38 week appointment (which was to discuss results and make arrangements to be induced) because I did not "book out" however how is anyone ment to book out when there is no one at reception to book out with this will leave my midwife chasing them up again which they have had to do already as athough they said I needed growth scans nothing more was done this has been them same for my 2nd pregnancy and that resulted in a very rushed birth as no one was listing to a word I said I will not be recommending this hospital and if I wasn't so close to give birth I would transfer my care

Hello,

I am really sorry to hear you are so unhappy, and I apologise for the stress and distress this is causing you. Please contact us as soon as you can to make sure we can sort this out before you get any closer to your baby's birth.

Please contact the Matron for midwifery, Yvonne Rowlan, on 01274 364572 and she will do all she can to help. If you call when Yvonne is not available, please tell the person you speak to that this is an urgent matter, and that she is expecting your call about your post on NHS Choices. Please give them your name and contact number they will get a message to her to call you back.
