About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

2 weeks ago we were on a short trip to Shrewsbury from our home in Epsom, Surrey. However, I was taken extremely ill with no warning, and as a consequence I spent 6 days in the SAU (surgical assessment unit)

The care I received was second to none.

Warmth, kindness, good gentle humour from the paramedics. Skilled, hugely talented clinnical staff, and kind dedicated ward support staff (who kept our ward so clean) all contributed to make my stay in your outstanding hospital, an experience I shall never forget.

My family thank you, and we are indebted to you all.

It is always a pleasure to be able to respond to all the comments made about out hospital sites but even more so to be able to pass on positive comments such as this to our staff. With this in mind, I have passed your comments to the Ward Manager and Matron for the SAU at the Royal Shrewsbury and have asked them to share with all of the ward staff.
