What I liked

I booked here to be induced with my first baby after I went overdue. The delivery team were outstanding and the post-natal care excellent - no faults anywhere with either group. They made a complicated delivery and a difficult first few days far smoother than they might have been. Professional, friendly, dedicated and helpful all the way through.

What could be improved

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the ante-natal ward which was a disaster in all terms. The staff are unhelpful and uninterested, and appear to not know how to take or read notes correctly. A good part of the reason my delivery was complicated was due to inadequate communication between staff and in places the midwives seemed undertrained. One was downright rude to me at a very sensitive moment.

Anything else?

For actual delivery and post-natal care, I cannot rate FGH any higher. Absolutely brilliant, truly, both doctors and midwives. I would definately choose this side of the service again.

For ante-natal care, however, beware....

The key might be to stay at home as long as possible!
