"Ectopic pregnancy"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I was referred to Sunderland Royal around 1am after being to my local one life suffering abdominal pains. I was seen quickly on A&E due to my referral and giving pain medication until the Dr was able to see me. I was seen quickly and due to my condition knowingly pregnant, was admitted to the ward until I was able to go for a scan. Due to pain and results my scan was brought forward which showed the problems. No sooner was I back in my room I was being prepared for surgery. I may add this was done in a dignified manner but also knew it was emergency. I was taken to surgery but allowed to see my partner at my most needed hour. The surgery went along with how I was informed and all the staff whom cared for me were around to check in on me through my stay. I don't know how such an amazing team happened to be together that day but I'm truely greatful for every moment of time and compassion they showed me at the most awful moment of my life. You wouldn't get better treatment in a 5* hotel!
