"In oncology dept. all staff were very helpful."

About: North Middlesex Hospital / Oncology

I was in the oncology department for radiotherapy. Everyone of the staff that I met was very friendly and helpfull, nothing was too much trouble even the patience got on well with each other. the only downside of the department was the lack of maintainance ie. the toilet floors were only wiped over with a dry mop every day, It was at least 6 weeks ( I was there for 7 1/2 weeks ) before they were washed properly, on one occaision I wiped up a spillage with a paper towel and it was filthy. This is not right as the toilets in this area are an essential part of the treatment, one toilet broke and was out of action for at least a week, my treatment finnished so I don't know when that got fixed.

Having had my moan my time there was a pleasant experience under the circumstances. Thank you everyone. Regards John.

Thank you for your feedback.

I am so glad that you were happy with the service our staff provided and that you found all members of staff to be friendly and helpful.

Your comments relating to the standards of cleanliness.

Your comments will be discussed with our MITIE cleaners to ascertain why the toilets are not being cleaned thoroughly to the standard we expect. I am the head of radiotherapy services, mark.elsworthy@nhs.net and will be sharing your comments with the radiotherapy team.
