I was admitted to Aberdeen Maternity Hospital at 37 weeks with high blood pressure. I spent just over a week in Westburn and Summerfield wards while I was induced and then after giving birth.
All the wards were extremely busy but all the staff were fantastic. There were long waits for test results and for comments from the doctors but the midwives did everything they could. There wasn't much space in the labour ward or chairs for birth partners. However, all of them went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and keep us informed. I want to give a special thanks to the student midwives that have recently started at AMH as they were are brilliant, especially Megan who took care of me in my last couple of days in the ward! : ) the support for breastfeeding was also amazing!
"staff were fantastic"
