"Whist on holiday I attended A&E ..."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Whist on holiday I attended A&E at approx. 11.30 for what turned out to be a detached retina. I was seen promptly in turn by nurses and Registrar, who referred me to the Eye Hospital. There the diagnosis was made efficently and arrangements made for surgery that same day. Hour long operation carried out under local anaesthetic. Stayed in hospital overnight and released after examination in the morning by surgeon, who had even made an appointment for me to attend my local hospital upon my return home from holiday. Care and treatment exemplary.
