"A&E experience"

About: Frimley Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Arrived at A&E department mid morning. I felt that the staff I encountered were rude. I kindly asked a nurse two hours in how long the wait was likely to be and they told me if I didn't like the wait to go private in what I felt was a mocking tone of voice.

I was eventually checked over by a doctor and was told my Jaw pain wasn't serious enough and was probably due to an ear infection, however I now know it isn't and the pain has since got worse. I do not feel comfortable using that a&e department again because of the attitude of some of the staff.

Dear Jty4990

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I'm sorry for your experience and like to be able to look into what happened further. There is no excuse for staff to be rude. I'd be really grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Team with your details so I can share those with the Matron to investigate?

You can email PALS on palsfrimleypark@fhft.nhs.uk

I do hope you will get in touch

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
