I have been in and out of Derriford over the past few years for a series of minor issues. I am currently being treated for Graves Disease. Over the past few years I have been very satisfied with the way I have been treated. Appointment times are usually very accurate - I have never had to wait beyond 5 minutes for my appointment and the staff have universally been professional, friendly and approachable. Recently I was recalled after a routine breast scan. All the staff - the nurses and the excellent consultant radiologist - were efficient but really friendly and supportive. I was given a biopsy; completely unexpected but the staff were uniformly informative and reassuring. I was told to expect a result in three weeks - in fact, I received a phone call after two weeks and a really nice letter from the consultant radiologist. I think that we probably do not spend enough of our GDP on the NHS but I have to say that I have nothing but praise for the service at Derriford and especially the wonderful, committed staff. ( I am pleased with myself for actually completing this review because I have been meaning to for ages - complaining about a bad service is easy to do but actually taking the time to praise a service is usually neglected, especially by me!)
"Fantastic treatment"
