It was not me but my dad who spent nearly 4 weeks on Ward 52.
The care he received from the staff on the ward was excellent!
He was very poorly - but they monitored him carefully , adjusted his medication as necessary and moved him around when he was uncomfortable. The consultants and doctors came from many different departments to assess him and treat him, they communicated well with all of my family.
The staff on the wards were so efficient even though they were so busy , nurses, apprentices , health care assistants, tea staff, cleaners and porters always had a friendly word to say to my dad and my family as they cared for him.
He did make a wonderful recovery and we did get him home with a care in the home package that they did arrange for him.
The staff made a very scary time for us a bit better by always answering our questions and explaining what was happening next.
We were all so very grateful to everyone there.
"Ward 52 staff were excellent"
