Given an emergency scan appointment for 12pm which is when we got there for then just left to sit there for an hour without being told what the hold up was. When speaking to the unhelpful receptionist about the wait they said they was aware we was waiting then phoned a department and just said they aren't picking the phone up.I then told the receptionist that I had read good reviews about how quick patients are seen there and they told me that was wrong and that it's always a long wait.It then turned out there was another girl there who had been waiting 2 hours and still not seen I then asked if we was behind her to which the receptionist replied yes.We then decided to leave due to the fact my partner is 31 weeks pregnant with twins and was suffering with her back.I have now phoned up antenatal care at our local hospital and the person I spoke to phoned them up before phoning me back and told me we have another appointment up there tomorrow at 12pm because it's important but it will be the same deal as today unfortunately and we will just have to wait. The big difference going into tomorrow is at least we know now we are in for a long wait not just left sitting there watching everyone walk straight into there appointments wondering what's going on.Please tell your patients whats going on and let them know about waiting times.Still seems silly if you are given a appointment for 12pm you are expected to wait all that time it doesn't work the other way around.
