"Hygiene concerns"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow

(as a parent/guardian),

When entering the lift I noticed a blue disposable glove lying on the floor.

The toilet in the patients room was unclean.

Dear mcairney,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience in our hospital.

I was really disappointed that you found a blue glove in the lift, and a patient toilet to be unclean.

Our domestic services team are on duty 24 / 7 and I’m sorry that on this occasion, our usual high standards weren’t met.

I would encourage you to report any cleanliness deficiencies to a staff member at the time, and we will be happy to resolve the issue immediately.

I’d like to thank you for taking the time to highlight your concerns which have been shared with both clinical and domestic service colleagues.

Kind regards

Coral Brady
