I am totally frustrated and unhappy regarding the way appointments are delt with at New Cross Eye Dept. I have struggled with work and day to day activities due to my sight issues while i wait and wait to get an appointment through. It appears to make no difference when the Consultant actually wants to see you as the appointment system that is in place means you will never see them when they say you will . when chasing up an app that should have been in April I was told by Appointments that they do not generate an app until April and not back in January when I saw my consultant following surgery . Consequently I got an app for June which was cancelled 3 days before and I ended up seeing my consultant in July , 3 months later than they wanted . They then wanted to see me in 6 weeks at the end of August as I had problems with my sight . The app has come through for 4th October , this was again cancelled 6 days before . I have never experienced this at other hospitals in the area , when a consultant stayes they want to see you at a given time you see them . I work with the public and thete would be uproar if i used this app system. Please sort it out !
