"shockingly poor"

About: Shelburne Hospital

Really shocked how poor the level of service was for a private hospital. On day of operation was left on my own for 4 hours apart from nurse taking registration. Nobody came in to see how I was feeling. Then after op was given a tray with my meal and cup of tea but absolutely no help. Having had spinal surgery, my range of movement is limited and couldn't eat or drink without help. In the end the porter helped me.Told nurse the needle in my hand was really hurting but they said they had to go and fetch a patient and would be back in 20 minutes.

2 minutes later the needle had displaced itself and there was blood everywhere.

Nurse didn't say any words of comfort/reassurance. Just cleaned the blood and changed the sheets. I stayed at the Chiltern last time and the level of care was extremely high. Do not feel cared for or safe or listened to here.
