"Delay after delay after delay"

About 3 months ago I went to see my GP to ask for medication to help with severe anxiety. Due to me being on other medications too, it had to go via the Bridge Centre, through a psychiatrist. After 3 weeks I asked my GP what was going on, and they had forgotten to send the letter to the Bridge Centre. Thankfully after this a person from the Bridge Centre was able to see me within 3 weeks, and I had a pleasant meeting with this person. However after the appointment, I have been moved from person to person, waiting and waiting. I phoned in, was told Dr. X will look at your medication on Thursday. Phoned again Friday, was told Dr. X will look at your medication on Monday. Phoned again following Friday, was told Dr. X had been out, and would look at my medication on the next Monday again (so a week after I was previously told). I phoned again today, Thursday, and they knew nothing and said that someone will have to phone me back today or tomorrow with information if there is any. I was told a different Dr. this time. I just don't know what is going on? I just want my life back, and I need some help for that.

I have also asked for talking therapy, but was told that due to me having bipolar disorder, it was only available in the event of me being suicidal. Thankfully I am not, but surely it shouldn't have to go that far before I can get some help? I have been given an Out Of Hours phone number I can call if it gets too much, but that's not really going to help my anxiety long term... All in all, sorry but I feel this place is a bit useless.
