I just wanted to share my story and let you know that you have a valued member of staff Nurse Helen.

I had came into Hospital last Wednesday for an operation on my eyes and I was very nervous and scared. I remember I wasnt the first patient to be taken and watched other go in and come out with swollen eyes and blood. When It was my turn to go in Helen came in with me talked to me to keep me calm and held my hand as she could tell I was really scared.

Its great to see such wonderful staff that really care about their patients and Helen  is a credit to you and the Cataract unit so keep hold of her.

Please can you pass on my thanks to Helen as she really made a difference to me that day and others I would say as I watched her speaking to other patients putting their minds at easy.

I would like this information to be passed on to Helen and her managers above as she deserves recognition the the good work she does.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. It is understandable that you were apprehensive about your recent eye surgery and it was lovely to read that Helen clearly made you feel better on the day.

I know that Ruth, the Senior Charge Nurse has already shared your post with Helen and she was delighted to receive such lovely feedback from you.

The great thing about Patient Opinion is that your story is automatically shared with all our senior managers so they will have read about the great care that Helen gave to you.
