What I liked
I attended A&E upon instruction of my GP as having an suspected allergic reaction to the medications I had been prescribed.
After waiting nearly two hours with no contact from any member of medical staff after checking in, I left the hospital and travelled to Sheffield, Northern general where I was seen and treatment was initiated in less than a half our of arriving - yes I was having an allergic reaction to the medications I had been prescribed and it was just as well that it was not a life threatening one too.
I will never go back to this A&E again.
What could be improved
If the staff spent less time chatting betwixt themselves and tere were a higher staffing level that was accordingly managed then this would not have happened.
I saw two members of staff take nearly 1 hour to replenish 3 medium sized trolleys of supplies but they spen more time laught & chatting than actually working - they were qualified staff as they had blue uniforms and not green ones on too.
Anything else?
The mamangement here is complacent - it has to be.
