All in all, the eye clinic at The Royal Free have treated me well in terms of medication, help, guidance and advice when I suffered an extremely bad eye infection. However, as much as I would like to praise the kind nurses for their hard work and help, I am always left so disappointed by the ridiculous wait time that always occurs whenever I have an appointment. I was booked in for an appointment at 10:30am and wasn't called in until 12pm. An hour and a half wait. This is just stupid, and I do not understand how a business is run this way. There were people complaining to the receptionists (who might I add, were of no help) -- and I even heard one of the receptionists say that there was going to be a four hour wait. I'm usually patient when it comes to long waits and being stuck for long periods of time in situations like this - it's happened before - but this time I was left really frustrated as I'm in full time education and was missing classes. If you are ever admitted to this Clinic - then the best times to make an appointment are either first first thing in the morning, as early as you can, or later on in the afternoon, towards the end of the week.

Don't book just before or just after lunch. Nightmare. It is overall a great service, but if like myself you're busy and have places to be. Avoid at all costs.
