"Great first birth experience"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Maternity

So happy I picked the general to have my first baby . Millie was born three weeks early on 6.02.16 . I was induced early as she had stopped growing and her heart rate was all over the shop . From finding out she was lacking growth till the end of my pregnancy , The consultant was really caring and informative and so were all the staff I came into contact with on MAU , delivery suite and the after care ward . The nursery nurses were lovely too , spending a lot of time helping me to breastfeed and then got me an electric pump as she wasn't latching on .

My midwife and student midwife helped me to give birth safely and calmly and were happy to have a chit chat throughout my contractions which was nice . The food was nice , the place was clean except for hearing some woman coughing up phlem in the toilets. Couldn't fault it . Can't wait to come back .keep up the good work !!

Dear Miss Parish,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.

We're so happy to hear that you were happy with the level of care provided in the maternity unit at the General Hospital. It's lovely to hear that you were well looked after and that our staff took the time to sit down with you during your stay. We will pass your lovely comments on to all the team members involved.

We hope you and your daughter are both well.

Kind regards
