"little boy with a head wound"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son fell at home and was initially treated in a village hospital before being transferred to Aberdeen. I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Accident and Emergency Staff Nurse Anna who was just fabulous. She really did a good job of looking after me and, more importantly, my son. She listened to my concerns, acted on my behalf and helped me to keep my son distracted whilst he was receiving treatment. Thank you so much xx

Dear mummyandnurse

I would firstly like to apologise for the time it has taken to respond to your post. The delay is as a result of changes to the way in which we manage Patient Opinion in NHS Grampian.

Reading your story reminds us of what matters to patients and their families. It is so worrying when our children are unwell or have an accident. Anna is obviously excellent at what she does and struck just the right chord in looking after you and your son in a calm and professional manner.

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience on Patient Opinion. The staff are always very grateful to receive feedback and I will make sure “Anna” in particular is made aware of your post.

I hope your son is fine now.

Kind regards and thank you again,
